Zoe-perry

Perry is Perry is a Chicago native who was born to Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The character Jackie Harris was played by her mother in each of the two episodes she appeared on Roseanne. Her parents, however, did not allow her to act until she reached the age of adulthood because of the effects stress would affect their child. Perry claimed that she was shy to act during high school, but started doing shows in the theater at Northwestern University as a way to connect with people following her transfer from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry relocated into New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent however, her homesickness led Perry back home to California where she found acting jobs. In 2013 she performed in The Other Place on Broadway alongside her mother. The show was directed by Eugene O'Neill. Pulitzer Prize winner Anna Christie as well as Kevin McKidd. This was performed in the West Los Angeles' Odyssey Theatre Ensemble. Perry played nine roles in the ABC thriller The Family, in 2016. In 2017, she played a recurring role on The ABC political thriller Scandal with her father. The character she played was an older Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show from CBS's The Big Bang Theory was an additional portrayal that was younger of her mother. She was cast in the role despite having a close relationship with the character's family.
